Common questions about joining the Knights of Columbus

What are the requirements to join the Knights of Columbus?

Any practical Catholic man in union with the Holy See, who is at least 18 years old, may join the Knights of Columbus. You must be committed to living according to the principles of our Order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

How much does membership cost?

Annual dues for Council 6569 are affordable and vary. Contact us for current rates. Many councils also offer payment plans. The investment in membership returns far more in brotherhood, faith formation, and service opportunities.

What is the time commitment?

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 7 PM. While regular attendance is encouraged, we understand members have busy lives. Participation in service events and activities is flexible—give what you can.

What charitable programs does the council support?

Council 6569 supports numerous programs including Coats for Kids, Food for Families, wheelchair assistance through the Global Wheelchair Mission, seminarian education through RSVP, Special Olympics, disaster relief, and local parish ministries.

Can I bring my family to Knights events?

Absolutely! Many of our events are family-oriented. We host picnics, holiday parties, Lenten fish fries, parish festivals, and community gatherings that welcome wives, children, and extended family. Family is central to who we are.

How do I transfer membership from another council?

Transferring is simple. Contact our Financial Secretary with your member number and previous council information. We'll handle the paperwork and warmly welcome you to Council 6569.
